Bonprix Blogger Competition Nail Art

Bonprix Blogger Competition Nail Art

Bonprix Blogger Competition Nail Art

For the Bonprix blogger competition I decided to do a manicure based on the red Alice Tea Dress.
I chose this dress as it is nice and simple so can be dressed up or down easily.

For my manicure I decided to do my nails based on how I would wear the dress at a Christmas party. I started by painting my nails with China Glaze Cranberry Splash to represent the dress, on my middle finger I added a heart shaped rhinestone and some smaller round rhinestones to represent a statement necklace, and finally on my ring finger I painted my nail with Revlon Ritzy to represent a clutch bag I have that is black with black and silver glitter. I then finished with a topcoat on all of my nails apart from my ring fingers as I wanted to keep them looking slightly textured like the bag.

Sparkly Nails Relaxed Chevron Nail Stencils

Sparkly Nails Relaxed Chevron Nail Stencils

I love using nail stencils for a quick and easy manicure and these ones from Sparkly Nails are great. They are only £1.25 for 60 and delivery in the UK is only £1.50. They have a great range of vinyl stencils so if you want to try them it is definitely worth checking their website, they also have a huge range of other nail art products. Delivery is also really fast.

This is the manicure I created using them, you need to make sure your base colour is completely dry before using them. After applying them I painted each colour and then peeled off the stencils and sealed with top coat.

It is even faster if you are only using one colour over the stencils as you can just paint it on over the entire nail. I sometimes find that if I peel the stencils off while the polish is still wet I get uneven lines, so I usually let the polish dry a bit first. I know most people peel them off while the polish is still wet though so its worth trying both ways to see which one works best for you.

These stencils were sent to me for review.
