On Wednesday's We Wear Pink!

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Mean Girls and because it is Wednesday some nail bloggers are doing On Wednesday's We Wear Pink manicures.

I couldn't pick just one pink polish so I used five.
From left to right, Models Own Cerise Shine, Pink Veneer & Sun Hat, Barry M Birthday and Nicole by OPI Still Into Pink.

I also used a medium dotting tool, striper brush and some little flower stickers from the born pretty store.

Rita Ora Nail Polish Review and Manicure

I used to love Rimmel nail polish but I haven't bought any for quite a while so when I saw the Rita Ora collection I thought I would get a couple to try. The two I chose are Do Not Disturb which is a blue/green colour and Breakfast In Bed which is a pale blue/mint colour with some shimmer in it.

The brushes are a really nice size and both polishes only took 2 coats.

The reason I chose these colours was because I thought they would go perfectly together. Here is the manicure I created using them.

I am really liking the polishes and I will definitely buy more in the future.

Quick Nail Polish Haul

I went shopping last Saturday and bought 10 new polishes after deciding I wasn't going to buy anymore for a while, lol. I may have also placed an order for 3 more polishes that I will be doing a blog post on when they arrive :)
Quick Nail Polish Haul
The first ones I bought were from Superdrug, as I walked in there was a lady stood beside the Rimmel Stand who told me they were buy 1 get the 2nd half price and if you bought 2 of the Rita Ora polishes you got a free Revlon Polish.
The Rita Ora Polishes I chose were, Breakfast In Bed and Do Not Disturb and the free Revlon polish was Ritzy. I then saw the Barry M Superdrug 50th birthday polish and couldn't resist buying it.

I then went to boots to look at the new Models Own Polish For Tans, I obviously had to buy all 5 of them :) but they were on 3 for 2 so I had to choose one more so I decided to get the sticky fingers set in Nude Beige which comes with nail stickers of things like ice cream and cupcakes.
The names of the Polish For Tans are
Beach Bag - Orange
Bikini - Yellow
Sun Hat - Pink
Flip Flop - Green
Shades - Coral

Quick Nail Polish Haul Swatches
I quickly swatched them on a nail wheel, but I'm sure you will see them all on my nails soon.

Chocolate Cupcakes With Marshmallow Frosting

I was talking to my best friend Angela the other week and we decided we would like to start doing some blog posts together. We think we will do them about once a week but we may miss some weeks.

For our first post we made cupcakes. We wanted to make them with mini creme eggs inside but everywhere seemed to have sold out :( so we ended up using the lindt eggs instead.

For the cupcakes we used this recipe and then put an egg on each one and gently pushed it in the cupcake mixture

This is what they looked like when they came out of the oven :)

Once they had cooled we started the frosting which was actually really easy to make and tasted amazing. Here is the recipe we used

Chocolate Cupcakes With Marshmallow Frosting
We used mini eggs, mini smarties and some confetti sprinkles to decorate them. I decorated the ones on the left and Angela decorated the ones on the right.

This is how amazing they looked when cut in half. Everyone who tried them loved them and we only had a few left at the end of the night. We will definitely have to try them again next year with creme eggs.

Our posts together will go up on a Friday normally. This Friday we have a post all about trying different candy from around the world so don't forget to follow the blog on Bloglovin or Google Friend Connect so you don't miss it :)

Philippine Flag Nails

First I would like to say a huge thank you to Joyce from Dragonfly Creative Design Studio for redesigning my blog.

Last Saturday I went to a charity event raising money for typhoon Haiyan recovery relief, so I decided to add the Philippine flag to my nails.

After thinking about what to do for a while I finally decided to put a flag on my ring finger and for the other nails I did polka dots using colours from the flag.

It was a great evening and the event raised over £700!!!

Glamour Treat Yourself & We'll Treat You Shopping Evening

Last Thursday was the Glamour Treat Yourself & We'll Treat You Shopping Evening, I saw it on Facebook a few days before and decided to pre- register.

We went to the one in Princesshay Exeter which was on from 6-9pm, although we didn't get there until after 7pm.
When you arrive you had to go to the registration desk to collect a wristband which gave you discounts in some shops, and if you had pre-registered you were given a card to collect a free treat. There was also a list of special offers for the evening. If you spent £15 you got free jelly beans, £30 you got a photo of yourself on the Glamour Magazine cover, £45 was a free goody bag, I can't remember what it was for £75 and over £100 was a £10 gift card I think.

Bubblegum Jelly Beans
The treats for pre-registering were jelly beans or popcorn, I chose bubblegum jelly beans but they had loads of different flavours to choose from.

The first shop I went to was Topshop, they were giving 10% off plus a free bag
Freedom at Topshop Necklace
I only ended up buying a necklace from here which was £9.00 after the discount. The photo doesn't show how nice it actually is.
Free Topshop Bag
This is the free bag you got with every purchase and inside there was a sunglasses pouch and a Lacoste perfume sample.

Next we went to Dorothy Perkins who had up to 30% off. I bought 2 dresses.

After Dorothy Perkins we went to Debenhams who had 10% off womens wear and health & beauty.
Debenhams Purse
I had been looking for a new purse that would fit in my new handbag and found this one which  is the perfect size. It was originally £29.00 but was in the sale at £14.50 but when I went to pay it was only £8.70 but then it had the 10% off so I only paid £7.83 :)

I also bought my Mum's birthday present but I won't show that as I know she will read this. As I had spent over £45 I got the free goody bag which contained a mini box of Lindt Lindor Chocolates. We all had a really great evening and hopefully they will do it again soon.
