I also used a matte top coat

Despicable Me Minion Nail Tutorial
Start by painting your nails white and allow to dry

Then with the yellow paint your nails leaving a gap around the cuticle

Using a small nail art brush and the black polish paint a small black line on either side

Now to create the goggles use a large dotting tool and the grey polish and put one or two dots on each nail, then using the white polish and medium size dotting tool add the white dot to the centre of each grey dot and finally with the black polish and smallest dotting tool add the black.

Sugar Spun Nail Art Tutorial

Sugar Spun Nail Art Tutorial
The polishes I used

Sugar Spun Nail Art Tutorial
You will need some cocktail sticks and something to put the polishes on, I used foil.

OPI My Vampire Is Buff
After applying my base coat I used 2 coats of OPI's My Vampire Is Buff

Sugar Spun Nail Art Tutorial
Then you need to put some of your polish on to the foil, after a minute or two I started mixing it with the cocktail sticks.

Sugar Spun Nail Art Tutorial
After around 10 minutes you will get strings when you lift the cocktail stick.

Sugar Spun Nail Art Tutorial
Place your finger next to the polish and with the cocktail stick place the strings on your nails.
Once finished I cleaned up around my nails using acetone on a cotton bud.

They took a while to dry as I didn't use a topcoat, so if you are planning on doing this make sure you have plenty of time for it to dry unless you want to use top coat.

Urban Decay Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion Review

This is my favourite eyeshadow primer and I recently ran out and had to order a new one so I thought I would do a quick review.

Urban Decay Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion Review
When I first started using this it came in the bottle with an applicator wand, Urban Decay changed this so it is now in a tube and you just squeeze out however much you want. I find the new packaging is a lot easier to use.

Urban Decay Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion Review
Here are swatches of some Elizabeth Arden eyeshadows, the bottom swatches are over a very thin layer of Primer Potion. I did also take some photos using it with cheaper eyeshadows like MUA but I accidentally deleted them, if you would like to see them just leave a comment below and I will take them again and add them to this post.

When I use this I can apply my eyeshadow in the morning and it has barely faded or creased by the evening, if you are looking for an eye primer this is the best one I have used. It isn't cheap at £15 but as you only need a tiny amount it lasts for ages.

This is what it says on the Urban Decay website

Our # 1 best-selling product in a NEW easy-to-squeeze tube! Apply before your eyeshadow for more vibrant CREASE-FREE color that lasts for 24 hours.

This is it – THE most legendary primer in the beauty industry. Eyeshadow Primer Potion is coveted by makeup artists and makeup junkies alike because it guarantees more vibrant eyeshadow that lasts for 24 hours and NEVER CREASES! Once you experience its powers (plus how smoothly it glides on – an added bonus) you'll never want to live without it. Original formula dries down invisibly, while Eden, Sin and Greed are shades that can also be worn as shadows or highlighters!

Now this extraordinary elixir comes in an easy-to-squeeze tube so you can control how much you apply. You also get more primer in every tube – 11 ml instead of the original 10!
